I made this bag as part of a Namaste Art Swap. It was organized by the beautiful lady who is http://prettyinpeace.etsy.com/

since I am not so much an 'artist', I decided to go with the medium I know best--fabric! There were a lot of 'firsts' here for me: my first time doing a swap like this, was my first time doing a freezer paper stencil (it worked very well!) and it was my first 'log cabin' style patchwork attempt.
I designed the symbol to represent the meaning of Namaste. (also a first, designing a symbol!)

It's very bright, hope my swapee likes it!!
and once I get my item, I'll tell you about that!

Scored this at the Goodwill outlet store today. Can't wait to clean her up and put her to work! she can model my purses and bags.... or bracelets if I start making those again.

I love the outlet, but it is a weird place. You have to be careful not to cut yourself, there is broken glass everywhere. It's like a junk free for all. People go crazy when they roll out the new carts.

I made this crazy quilt square in January, for the collage a day project. (which i didn't do very long, lame me)
I want to make something with it, I just can't decide what....
a clutch?
a tote?
a wall hanging?

I probably will add some embellishments to it before I make anything, and add some embroidery stiches.
